The third draft is done. Red pen replaced in the pen-cup. Digital assets uploaded and synchronised. This is it, the publication phase.

I have submitted the initial copy to Draft2Digital. What’s more, they offer a Print on Demand service like Lulu and Amazon which takes the eBook data, shares the metadata and seems streamlined. For this book, I am going to give this a try. So far, the experience has been very positive.

For the audiobook, INAudio is their suggested production house which is just fine, since I’ve gone with them for all my other books. My only problem is that I have an(other) awful chest-cold and my voice sounds horrible. I have done audio work before with the sniffles and it sounds… terrible. You can really hear the change in vocals, the lack of range, the nasal sounds and dry lips. No good.

This means I’ll have to just rest over the next few days and get my voice and lungs back to something approaching normality. That, in turn, means the looming deadline is going to come upon me all of a sudden. With previous works, the audio portion can take weeks to get verified with the distributors, so I’m going to be cutting it fine or missing the mark altogether. Not a problem, I’ll just have to bust a hump and do the best I can.

At least the eBook and Print Book will be out:

On that note, I’ll be updating this website for links and whatnot over the next few days to make sure it’s all ready to roll. Wish me luck!
